Art-punks Cola release a final single, 'Fulton Park', before they release their debut album Deep In View this Friday (20/05) on Firetalk Records. The trio, made up of ex Ought and US Girls members, have released a string of singles (check out 'Degree' and 'Water Table') that have been gradually unveiling an innovative and varied record, new track 'Fulton Park' is a multi-textured, constantly shifting, surreal work of guitar pop. Singer and guitarist Tim Darcy describes the writing process: "These lush almost psychedelic guitars in the intro and chorus are paired with this really stripped down almost honky tonk verse. It conjured in my mind this kind of old west imagery. I suppose looking back on the lyrics now, that same kind of juxtaposition is present. Similar to Landers, it takes a look at the natural world and then the odd, magical, sometimes empty things that humans do on that landscape." -Toby Evans-Jesra
